From the beginning I have thought Donald Trump is nothing but a distraction. His purpose is to take attention and heat away from Hillary, the Wall Street, status quo, establishment candidate. It is working. All you hear about is Donald Trump 24×7. If you ever watch ‘Late Night with Seth Meyers’ you will find that 3/4 of his monologue is Donald Trump jokes.
If it were not for Donald Trump, someone somewhere would eventually have to talk about Hillary and this would be very bad for Hillary. Her record for the past 40 years is nothing but crime, lies, corruption, and dead bodies. It is much better for her if her name is not even mentioned, except on the ballot in November.
And Bernie Sanders is also nothing but a stooge taking heat away from Hillary.
I realized this during the very first democratic presidential debate when Bernie Sanders essentially handed Hillary Clinton the golden ticket to the nomination. After watching Sanders be Clinton’s apologist for her biggest stumbling block in this election, anybody thinking he is not a plant to steer the Left back into the statist umbrella of the Democratic Party is deluding themselves.
“Let me say something that may not be great politics,” said Sanders in response to a question posed by moderator Anderson Cooper regarding Clinton’s email account on a third-party server. “The American people are sick and tired of hearing about your damn emails.”
Bernie’s only hope for beating Hillary was to bring up her felonies committed in office. Instead he becomes her biggest defender. The democratic primary race was all over before it began.
And even if he does accidentally manage a win among the voters, the establishment will make sure it goes nowhere. The superdelegates were committed to Hillary before the first primary vote was cast.
So who cares if Bernie is more popular among voters. The democratic party has already chosen Hillary, the ultimate Wall Street puppet / Washington insider.
Bernie is already out of the race. He is mathematically finished. All of this media coverage is bread and circuses. Hillary has already wrapped up the nomination.
So what was the purpose of the Trump show?
A CNN/ORC poll says that both Hillary Clinton and Bernie Sanders would beat Trump handily in the national election. “In the scenario that appears most likely to emerge from the primary contests, Clinton tops Trump 52% to 44% among registered voters,” CNN says. “That result has tilted in Clinton’s favor since the last CNN/ORC Poll on the match-up in January.”
According to the poll, Clinton faces a much tougher battle against Cruz or Rubio. In fact, in a head-to-head battle, Rubio or Cruz would win, according to the same poll.
That should clear up the real purpose of the Trump show.
