This ain’t good

If you look past the massaged statistics from the Obama administration, you see that the labor market stinks.  The labor participation rate is back at 1977 levels.  But it is much worse because back then moms stayed at home, by choice, because one breadwinner could actually support a family, even a family of four or more.

lfpIn addition to the terrible trend of a declining labor participation rate as a result of hundreds of thousands of Americans dropping out of the labor force (and lack of entrants), one other recurring concern we have had with the jobs report is that new job growth has disproportionately gone to elderly workers, those 55 and over at the expense of young (16-24) and prime aged (25-54) workers.

But don’t listen to a fiction peddler like me.  All Hail The King…

About avirginiapatriot1776

I hope we have once again reminded people that man is not free unless government is limited. There’s a clear cause and effect here that is as neat and predictable as a law of physics: as government expands, liberty contracts. — Ronald Reagan
