NPR’s Diane Rehme show has been replaced, finally. The new show is called 1A. It is hosted by Joshua Johnson and the name, 1A, was inspired by the First Amendment right to free speech.
I think this is a terrible name for a show that gets partial funding from the government. Free speech is a great thing, but how free is speech when it is forced to be funded by tax-payers? Is it really free speech or government sponsored propaganda?
And so the new host could end up with an assumed suffix for the show.
